“And Now I Rest” - Printed on Canvas

When:The Summer of 2021 I hopped in a car just a little too late, to get to where I was intending on getting. My buddy Norm, was at the helm as we launched into action, making haste for the Fundy National Park. Sunset over Point Wolfe was the goal.

A little while later .. “we’re not going to make it….” - “hey look at that house!” , “pull over a minute, I’ve wanted to shoot this in forever, look at those clouds”

The Story And that is the humble beginnings of how this beautiful piece started, when I got home to process it, That’s when I fell in love with it. The Story, the old house falling into to submission of time, I sat and wondered what stories it told. Who were the people who once walked the fields, were there young kids making mud pies there once, this old house, protected them, sheltered them. Much like Casita from ‘Encanto’ my imagination ran wild. Yet here it was, fading into it’s golden years, content in the summer sun.

The Product: The Suggested medium of this piece is Canvas, it blends to the feel of age and texture to the wood. The original is still available at a 43-inch wind Canvas. It is available by contacting me here

Accolades:
As a member of Professional Photographers of Canada I participate in competitions and accreditations to hone my skill. Accreditation is similar to a peer review of a panel of your work, vice a competition is scoring of your images based upon the artistic and technical qualities. Only the very best score the coveted “Photographer of the year” and “Best in Class Awards”

In 2021 at the Regional Atlantic Awards Gala, I was rather surprised to hear that “And Now I Rest” hit the Best in Class award for Pictorial Scenic. Scoring a silver medical overall in the competition. I was quite Honoured, and just a little bit STOKED!
